This weekend Kitty's is having a One-Day-Sale! People from all over come to browse and pick through the treasure trove of goodies.

Art prints, posters, and more knick knacks dedicated to Kitty's favorite pet are selling fast.

A closer look at some of the fine art prints and rare posters on sale.

Antique quilts, unique cat themed toys, and garden ornaments are all on sale.

A customer tries to make up her mind if this is the "must-have" quilt.

Hmmm... what does the gray cat think about it?

You sure can't miss this aerial banner ad announcing the good news!

Inside the shop there are more items for sale... the rugs, stove, and many more stuffs, including the literal kitchen sink!

This avid bookreader took advantage of the sale and loaded up on her favorite novels... these books will keep her busy reading for an entire year!
While the grown-ups shopped, this boy enjoys a swing with a little help from a friend.

IT'S A JOLLY DOLLY HOLIDAY

AN ORIGINAL PAINTING

Title: It's A Jolly Dolly Holiday

Image size: 24 x 30 in.

Medium: Acrylic on Canvas

-Details-
(Click on the picture for a larger view)
This Santa Blimp can be seen for miles away and it is lit up at night!

Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe... where you can find all kinds of ornaments (made in China, naturally) and other knick-knacks to decorate your trees and make your home truly festive for the season. Here Grandma Dolly dressed up as Mrs. Santa helps another customer.

In Jolly Dolly Farm you can pick out the tree and cut it down yourself for $5/ft. or you can request one of Santa's helpers to do it for $6/ft... plus tip, of course.

Here is a Santa's assistant delivering a tree by horse drawn sled.

Jolly Dolly Santa's helpers load up the truck to deliver the trees to local buyers who made their purchases online. Those out of town buyers will receive their trees via Fedex.

This couple hurries home with their tree... they can't wait to set it up as a centerpiece. This Christmas weekend they are going to have a party with friends and family.

This dad wonders why the tree is so heavy!

Dilemma... dilemma... how to get this tree home in the Smart car! The guy with the Hummer has no problem at all.

IT'S A JOLLY DOLLY HOLIDAY!

I hope this painting brings back many good memories of your past Christmases.... ENJOY!!!

Thank you for viewing my work.

Galloping Goose Lake

AN ORIGINAL PAINTING

Title: Galloping Goose Lake

Image size: 24 x 30 in.

Medium: Acrylic on Canvas

- Details -

It's autumn time at the lake which I called the Galloping Goose Lake. The name "Galloping Goose" is really the name of a trail in Vancouver Island, B.C.! Here I painted a little red cabin with Adirondack chairs. See the cat looking at his own image in the water while waiting to catch a fish!

In this beautiful lake setting, the nearest neighbor is several miles away.

These Canadian geese have gathered here to discuss their flight plans to the south. They don't gallop but they can sure fly in V-formation.

A sea plane is coming in for a landing!

This plane has landed and the pilot secures the plane to the dock.

Russell the bulldog watching his master pulls up the kayak for the last time... until next summer's vacation.

The kids will be back to school and this sea doo speedster is soon to be cleaned and drydocked... until next summer's waveboarding.

Please leave a message if you enjoy it or not... I would appreciate your input! Thank you.

QUARTET AT THE QUAY

AN ORIGINAL PAINTING

Title: Quartet at the Quay

Image size: 24 x 30 in.

Medium: Acrylic on Canvas

-Details-

I was thinking of doing a painting about Quandary Bay's Quay. Hmmmm... Quandary and Quay... that gave me an idea, wouldn't it be interesting if I make this work ala-Sesame Street on the Letter Q! So here are the Q's....

The Quilted Quail gifts and souvenirs shop... where you can buy knick knacks, sweatshirts and tees with the big Q print without having to queue up.

Here are the barbers of Quincy's giving a fine rendition of a popular hit that makes the kids want to get up and dance.

Queenie's Gelateria offers homemade ice cream made daily from fresh cow's milk. They have 51 flavors of ice cream, gelatos, choco-dipped bars, sundaes, smoothies, and other goodies!

Here is a young couple enjoying their ice cream; meanwhile the guy in blue is all engrossed looking at the marina unaware his dog has run off....

...to rescue a little boy scared by the mascot, Queenie the Cow! LOL

Fast food treats at the Quirky Chef Restaurant... where you can order takeout pizzas, burgers, hotdogs, and other delicious artery-clogging delights!

I saw on CNN the latest pet spa craze... now you can have your pets dyed! Isn't that cool? LOL. Here is a branch of the Quintessence chain... where you can have your pets decked out in the latest fashion colors!

Have you ever seen a real Platform boat? It is one of the coolest boats you can find anywhere! My friend Judy K., a boat enthusiast, will want to have a party in one when she sees this painting. This single element, for me so far, is the most challenging thing to paint and it took me quite a while to finish.
This boat is owned by the QUEST Scuba Divers' Club. It has dozens of oxygen tank ready for the weekend dives in the reef. See the resident cat waiting patiently for a delectable treat... the occasional fish that leaps onto the platform.

While the cat waits, the fish leaps into the wrong side! It scared the heck out of the dogs... and the boy lost all control. Amidst the commotion a gull sweeps in for the prize!

Here is a close-up shot of the surprised Spaniel with all four legs up in the air!

QUARTET AT THE QUAY

Check out the cool Q's... Quincy's Barbershop Quartet, Quilted Quail Gifts Shop, Queenie's Gelateria, Quirky Chef Takeout, Quintessence Pet Spa, Quest Scuba Club, a boat named Quicksilver, all in the busy busy Quandary Bay Quay!

BEST DAY EVER!

AN ORIGINAL PAINTING

Title: Best Day Ever!

Image size: 24 x 30 in.

Medium: Acrylic on Canvas

- DETAILS -

This is my latest work on the series about life on the dockside. I called this place Point Kittiwake, an imaginary seaside town named after the gulls with black feet and yellow beaks. They got the name from their call: "kittiwak-aaak-aaak!"

I painted this nautical structure to serve as the main feature. I find white buildings or a marina full of white boats are the most difficult things to paint, as it needs many shades of white and gray to make them look realistic and also distinguish one from the other. Now, to paint a man in white suit in front of the white building, that indeed upped the ante.

Today is turning out to be the best ever! A wonderful sunny weekend spent with Grandpa for brunch at the Yacht Club.

The boys had a blast fishing on the dock. Today is best ever with their biggest catch to date. Even the cat get to have one.

A parade of the catch... the bucket is full and the rest of the fish has to be carried on a pole.

Whoa, a humongous slippery catch of the day! As usual in my paintings, the littlest guy caught the biggest fish. Check out those comfy Crocs, great for wearing on the docks.

"BEST DAY EVER!"

I hope you enjoyed this painting and all its details. I love this painting so much I have it hanged in my living room and enjoy viewing it everyday.
